Certified pediatric surgeons in the Philippines are Fellows of the Philippine Society of Pediatric Surgeons.  This organization was established in 1969, through the foresight of Dr. Roman Ibay, Jr., who gathered together all who came back to the country from training in Pediatric Surgery abroad. Over the years, the Society has seen encouraging growth in its training program and activities.
